Holy relics & the Bodhi tree

The Foundation enshrines two of the most venerated objects in Theravada Buddhism, making it a spiritually significant destination for devotees across Sri Lanka.

Authentic sacred relics of the Buddha are enshrined at the Foundation. Daily milk-rice and medicinal offerings (gilampasa puja) are made in their honour, drawing devotees for veneration every morning and evening.

A sacred branch of the world-renowned Jayasri Maha Bodhi from Anuradhapura resides at the Foundation. Every evening at 7 PM, the Dhammachakkapavattana Sutta is recited before it, with blessings extended to the entire nation.

The beautifully maintained shrine hall serves as the central space for daily puja, meditation sessions, Dhamma discourses, and Meth TV recordings.
